Within the framework of the ACT Project, we are pleased to announce the Webinar series for capacity building on Codex topics of interest for the Latin American and the Caribbean region.

This work results from the joint coordination of the Phyto and Zoosanitary Regulation and Control Agency of Ecuador (AGROCALIDAD), as the base of the Codex Coordination Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean (CCLAC), and FAO.

The purpose of the webinars is to socialize and promote the application of the Codex Alimentarius standards for the strengthening of national food safety systems. The series of virtual seminars will be transmitted between 2022 and 2025 to the entire Latin American and Caribbean region, in Spanish and English. Topics range from the general principles of the Codex to the latest texts on AMR. The 2022 transmission begins with two modules.

Module 1: Guide and orientation for new Codex Alimentarius participants, on September 14 and 15, and Module 2: Basic Codex texts, on December 7. The seminars will be disseminated through the social media of FAO and AGROCALIDAD. Videos of each session will be available on the respective webpage (below) ,where they will be stored and can be revisited.
